Crane Proximity Alert

Crane proximity alerts and movement history remain as evidence for site safety inspections. Compare the record of each machine to review dispatch and maintenance plans.

Measure crane-to-worker distance and vibrate the tag at the configured threshold

UWB Tags go on cranes, yard trucks and workers, and receivers are mounted on pillars and containers. When the distance between them reaches the threshold, the worker's tag alerts by vibration and sound. Steel reflects radio signals in a yard, so the number of receivers is fixed by measuring with the stacks full.

TwinTracker UWB
TwinTracker UWB

TwinTracker UWB

A reader that receives UWB signals and calculates position. The specification puts error at ±10 cm in open indoor conditions, but a yard with heavy metal reflection differs, so fix the target accuracy after an on-site survey.

Positioning Design for Metal Structures

Anchor positions are decided by surveying the radio conditions of docks and storage yards. Worker and vehicle positions are placed on the same drawing to detect proximity.

Direct Worker Proximity Alert

Anchor layout matched to the yard structure

Find on the drawing first where gantry cranes, vessels and stacked loads block the signal. TwinTracker UWB receivers go on pillars and structures, clear of travel paths. The density each zone needs differs, so office areas, docks and storage yards are calculated separately.

Worker Safety Zones

Worker positions in the dock shown in real time

Fit a tag to a hard hat or a vest and workers inside the dock appear on the drawing. Zones with blocked sightlines, such as under a crane or around a hull, are seen on the same screen. Only when contractor personnel are included does the occupancy figure match reality.

Crane-Load Distance Monitoring

Installation surveyed in the metal stacking environment

A yard stacked with containers and steel bounces the signal back, so results vary widely with where units are installed. Confirm that recognition holds with the stacks full before fixing the quantity. Figures taken while the yard is empty are used only as reference.

Forklift & Yard Truck Monitoring

Detecting entry into a vehicle hazard zone

Set a hazard zone around yard trucks and forklifts and an alert goes out the moment a worker enters. Which worker entered which vehicle's zone is recorded alongside. Zone size is set differently for each vehicle to match working conditions.

Proximity Alert History

The control room and the field check proximity alerts and response procedures on the same screen. Movement and dwell records for each machine feed dispatch and maintenance planning.

Real-Time Site Monitoring

Control room and field checking at once

The control room PC, a tablet on site and a mobile phone all show the same screen. A manager who moves between locations keeps the same view without a break. Density per zone is shown alongside as a heat map, which reveals where people are concentrated.

Automated Incident Response

Response procedure runs automatically after an incident

When a collision or a crush is detected, the response procedure for that situation opens on the screen. Responders work through the steps and their progress is recorded in real time. Urgent actions such as notifying the safety manager and pulling up CCTV are run straight from the screen.

Crane Activity & Movement History

Crane movement and time spent stationary

Compare travel time and time held in one place for each crane, period by period. The location records accumulated in ORBRO Server show repeated trips and long dwell sections. Staff read operating state against work records to review which machines need dispatch changes or maintenance.

Structural Installation & Relocation

Installation on structures and relocation by phase

TwinTracker UWB is installed to suit the mounting points on containers and existing structures. Whether magnets and clamps are used is decided by the mounting surface and the equipment model, and power and communication wiring is connected. When receivers are moved as the yard layout changes, the new installation coordinates and coverage are reflected.
