TwinTracker UWB units are split across an upper and a lower level so a tag is picked up by enough of them at once. Build one zone as a pilot deployment, confirm it under the actual stacking layout, then widen the scope.

UWB ID CARD takes the same form as an access badge, so the step of handing devices out and collecting them drops away. At a shipyard where many people move between the office area and the site, issuing and collecting is itself an operating burden. Recognition carries over as they cross between the two areas, and subcontractor personnel are managed as a separate group.

In-Use and Idle Detection

For a crane weight or a large tool, whether it is free to use right now is needed more often than where it sits. Location and movement are read together to judge in use or idle, so you check the screen before walking out to look for it. Assets left unused for a long time collect into a list, and usage history is queried per asset.

Once you have found the asset you need, the next step is asking for it to be moved. Pick the target on the ORBRO Server screen, send the move request, and whether it was handled is recorded with it. Set the recipients for each responsible crew and the request reaches the right one.

Docks and laydown yards have many stretches where mains power and network cabling do not reach. A configuration that sends data up through LTE Gateway extends a zone without pulling new lines, so you start with no excavation or wiring work. On overseas sites, check first whether a model with the required specifications can be sourced locally.

Working above a certain height outdoors calls for scaffolding, and cost and procedure grow with it. Review how to reach the height you need at the installation planning stage, whether by using existing structures or by switching the attachment method to something like magnetic mounting. The attachment method is decided against site conditions, and mounting height and coverage are sized together.

Recheck After Stacking Changes

As blocks and materials are stacked and cleared, the paths the radio signal travels change with them. A stretch that held yesterday can go unstable today, so whenever the yard layout shifts significantly, check detection stretch by stretch and adjust the placement if needed. Results taken with the yard empty are treated as reference only and verified again under the actual stacking layout.
