ORBRO is establishing an R&D center in Hanoi, Vietnam, stepping up development of vision AI-based video location tracking technology. The new center will operate as an organization centered on research and development functions.
According to the company, the core purpose of the Hanoi center is to secure talented developers in the vision AI field and to further raise its capability in video location tracking technology. ORBRO plans to hire about 20 local employees first to form the initial organization, and on that basis to improve the accuracy and practical usability of video-based location tracking technology.
Hanoi is regarded as one of the regions with the deepest pool of skilled talent in Vietnam, and ORBRO intends to settle a development base of global caliber early through this center. In particular, with demand growing for the convergence of vision AI and location tracking technology, the company's strategy is to use the local development organization to accelerate the advancement of the related technology.
The industry views the indoor and outdoor location tracking market as expanding rapidly from sensor-based technology toward video and AI convergence technology, so securing development personnel and taking an early position with global R&D bases is expected to directly affect corporate competitiveness. ORBRO is likewise expected to grow the Hanoi center over the medium to long term into a core development base for next-generation location tracking technology based on vision AI.
